As education is at the heart of society, Vechtdal college works purposefully with educational and social institutions and the business community. They maintain contact with all institutions that our students deal with before, during and after their studies. The school wants to teach their students to apply the skills of the 21st century. Learning from, with and through technology takes a central place in education. On a teacher’s level one of the main goals is professional development in order to be an innovative teacher of the 21st century. The school is using virtual reality and 3D-printing. Vechtdal College is one of the pioneers using Augmented Reality in their lessons in the Netherlands and abroad. The school pays attention to all pupils: those who have difficulties in learning will be remediated, those who are strong will be differentiated and challenged to reach a higher level. The school is continuously looking for innovative tools to help vulnerable learners. One of the ambitions of the school is to become one of the best VO-schools, offering education to 12 – 18 years old pupils.
