Alex Zhang enjoys his PhD partly because thinking about problems while running or playing tennis is among the most enjoyable parts of his work.

“some time looking into it and if like we feel like there's actually something there like then we should we should take the next few weeks and just really pursue it and like this is my my style with this is why i love the phd by the way because there are times when i'm just thinking about problems like maybe on a run or just like playing tennis or something like i'm not i'm not working i guess but it's like those are the most fun times and then when i like really am convicted about something i'll just like drop everything and just do it”
